A sequel is planned for release within the next few years. Warner Bros. Discovery CFO, Gunnar Wiedenfels, confirmed this during Bank of America's 2024 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference, as reported by Variety. He highlighted the sequel's importance, stating it's "one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road," and will significantly contribute to the company's future growth.
Warner Bros. Games' David Haddad previously emphasized the game's remarkable replayability, a key factor in its success. Haddad noted the high number of players who have revisited the game multiple times. He also praised the game's ability to bring the Harry Potter universe to life in a fresh and engaging way, allowing players to immerse themselves in the story as their own unique character. This resonated deeply with fans, propelling Hogwarts Legacy to the top of the sales charts, a position typically reserved for established sequels. Haddad expressed pride in breaking into this elite tier.
