Zenless Zone Zero Leak Teases New Event for Version 1.5

A leaked Zenless Zone Zero update reveals a new Version 1.5 event featuring a Fall Guys-style multiplayer platformer game mode. This temporary event, tentatively titled "Grand Marcel," is expected to arrive alongside the late January release of Version 1.5, which introduces Astra Yao and Evelyn as playable characters.

Version 1.4, released in early December, included two new playable characters and an S-Rank Bangboo, along with two permanent battle-focused modes. However, Zenless Zone Zero has a history of incorporating temporary, event-specific game modes offering diverse gameplay experiences, such as the current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" tower defense event.

Leaker Palito shared screenshots showcasing the platformer stages, strongly resembling Fall Guys. The mode's temporary nature, exclusive to the "Grand Marcel" event, is suggested, although its unclear whether players will control their usual characters or Bangboo. Rewards are anticipated to include Polychromes and potentially additional free pulls, as previously rumored for Version 1.5.

This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events; Honkai Impact 3rd's 6.1 update in 2022 included a similar "Midnight Chronicle" event. Given Honkai's use of chibi character representations in that event, a similar approach with either standard characters or the popular Bangboo is possible in Zenless Zone Zero.

Version 1.5's January 22nd launch is also expected to include Nicole's first character skin and potentially an Agent Story for Ellen. The addition of the platformer event adds another layer of excitement to the already anticipated update.
