Talaash

A platform to reconnect with your alumni and collaborate on career and business opportunities.

Welcome back to your academic community!

Talaash is a social network dedicated to reconnecting you with your school and college days. It brings together classmates and alumni from various institutions onto a single platform. Talaash goes beyond simple alumni connections by fostering a knowledgeable community for more prosperous activities. This includes facilitating business between alumni, supporting each other's career growth, and helping community members—including your alumni network—access higher education opportunities. A Talaash user is anyone who has received an education from an accredited institution like a school, college, university, or certified educational center.

News Feed in Talaash

As a mobile app designed for collaboration among those who share an educational background, Talaash's News Feed gives you a consolidated stream of updates from alumni, batchmates, and your close connections. It serves as the homepage for every user. This feed is free from ads, politically biased content, and hate speech. It only shows information posted by your batchmates or alumni, and similarly, you can post messages—just like on other social networks—for your alumni and batchmates to see.

Friend Zone in Talaash

The Friend Zone in Talaash lets you reconnect with friends you may have lost touch with after your education ended. This section is the app's foundation, serving as the base for user communication across all other parts of Talaash. When users register their alma mater, year, and level of education, they are classified as alumni or batch buddies to other relevant users. Through personal connections and mutual acceptance, users can build their network from their pool of alumni and batch buddies. Talaash also enables users to gather their entire alumni community on one platform.

Market Zone in Talaash

Version 3.0 of Talaash introduces a Market Zone section. This feature allows users to seek and offer products or services to and from other relevant users within the Talaash network. This way, every user—whether a business provider or a potential consumer—can identify opportunities among their connections, alumni, batch buddies, and other Talaash members. With the Market Zone, Talaash aims to foster more active, daily engagement between users that extends beyond traditional alumni networking.

Career Zone in Talaash

Starting from Version 3.0, Talaash includes a dedicated section for career aspirants seeking a new job or a better position than their current one. Based on their current profession, users can identify alumni and other Talaash members in the same field to collaborate on career opportunities. Additionally, users can post or search for job openings.

Users can also seek mentorship for higher education and research from relevant members of the Talaash community. Furthermore, they can request feedback from notable alumni or communicate with educational institutions regarding admissions for themselves or their family members.

Security and Privacy Terms

Talaash adheres to all necessary industry standards for user security and privacy. The app employs multi-factor authentication for registration and login, giving users greater control over access to their profiles.

The user information collected by Talaash is limited to name, educational, and professional details. Beyond the multi-factor security channels, this approach minimizes data collection to best protect user privacy.
