In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, artifacts are crucial for boosting Skif's stats. Locating them, however, requires an artifact detector. The detector's quality significantly impacts the ease of your search. This guide details the four artifact detectors available, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods.
Echo Detector - Standard Artifact Detector
Your journey begins with the Echo Detector, a small yellow device featuring a central strobe light. This light pulses, indicating the presence of nearby artifacts. The faster and brighter the strobe, the closer you are to your target. While functional, pinpointing the artifact's exact location can be time-consuming.
Bear Detector - Upgrade Over The Echo Detector
An upgrade from the Echo Detector, the Bear detector (obtained during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from vendors) provides a visual distance indicator. Concentric rings around the display illuminate progressively as you approach the artifact. Full illumination signifies you're directly above the artifact's spawn point.
Hilka Detector - Precise Artifact Detector
The Hilka, acquired during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, offers a more precise approach. It displays numerical values corresponding to the artifact's position within the anomalous field. Decreasing numbers indicate proximity to the artifact.
Veles Detector - Best Artifact Detector In Stalker 2
The Veles, earned by completing the "In Search of Past Glory" main mission, is the pinnacle of artifact detection technology in Stalker 2. Its radar display precisely pinpoints the artifact's location, simultaneously highlighting dangerous nearby anomalies to ensure your safety.
