Cassette Beasts Now Live on iOS, Android Soon

Cassette Beasts, the retro creature-collecting RPG, is now available on iOS, but its Android launch has been unexpectedly delayed.

Developer Bytten Studio reports a last-minute snag in Google Play's approval process for a crucial patch addressing pre-release issues. The Android version will return to the Google Play Store as soon as the patch is approved.

This setback is disappointing, especially given the game's anticipated launch and blend of classic monster catching, battling, and exploration. While unforeseen delays are common, hopefully, the Android release will be swift.

A Beastly Delay

Game launches sometimes face unforeseen complications. The current situation highlights the potential for Google Play's approval process to cause delays, particularly when urgent patches are required.

The recent prominence of alternative app stores raises the question of whether a broader release strategy, encompassing stores with faster approval times, might have mitigated this issue. While this is food for thought, the delay is likely to be short, with a return to the Google Play Store expected within days.
