The iconic Castle Doombad is back with a vengeance, now available on Android as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay. Developed by the renowned Grumpyface Studios and brought to mobile by Yodo1, this tower defense strategy game first captured hearts in 2014. Grumpyface Studios, known for their successful titles such as Steven Universe: Attack the Light, Unleash the Light, and Teeny Titans, initially planned a remake of Castle Doombad. However, they decided to split the project into two distinct versions: Free to Slay for mobile and Classic for PC and Nintendo Switch.
Castle Doombad Classic, a remastered version of the 2014 original with enhanced content and features, is set to launch on Nintendo Switch and Steam later this year. Additionally, fans have something else to look forward to with Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, which is currently in development.
