What the Clash? takes the What the Golf? makers ideas way too far, coming to Apple Arcade soon

Author : Jack Update:May 06,2025

Triband, the masterminds behind the hilariously unconventional games like "What the Golf?" and "What the Car?", are back with another quirky title: "What the Clash?". This time, they're diving into the realm of competitive 1v1 multiplayer gaming, and as expected, they're not playing it straight.

"What the Clash?" is a collection of minigames that echo the spirit of games like Mario Party. You can challenge a friend in a variety of quirky contests, ranging from table tennis with a mechanical twist to snowboarding. While the game offers standard features like leaderboards and tournaments, don't let that fool you into thinking it's just another multiplayer game.

The real charm of "What the Clash?" lies in its unique twist: you control a hand with a body. The physics-based antics that come with maneuvering this unusual avatar add a layer of challenge and hilarity to each minigame. And with modifiers that can transform ordinary activities like archery into "Toasy Archery", expect the unexpected.

Clash the AppleArriving on May 1st, "What the Clash?" promises to be a delightful new chapter in the "What the...?" series. However, fans hoping to play on Android or standard iOS devices will be disappointed to learn that, like Triband's previous titles, "What the Clash?" will be exclusive to Apple Arcade.

For those considering a subscription to Apple Arcade, "What the Clash?" might just be the nudge you need to dive into the service's diverse gaming library. But if you prefer to stay independent, don't forget to check out our "Off the AppStore" feature, where we highlight exciting new releases available on alternative platforms.
