During the latest episode of Koji Pro radio broadcasts on April 14, Death Stranding 2 Director Hideo Kojima unveiled a groundbreaking feature designed to assist players, particularly those less experienced with intense combat, in navigating boss fights. In Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2), players have the option to press "continue" at the game over screen, which allows them to bypass the boss fight entirely. Instead of engaging in battle, the game presents a visual novel-style sequence complete with images and text descriptions, ensuring that players can still experience the narrative essence of the encounter without the need for combat.

Hideo Kojima has shared that Death Stranding 2 is nearing completion, currently standing at 95% finished. He likened the development progress to the time on a clock, stating, "It’s at about 95% now… It feels like it is 10 o’clock (PM), speaking of 24 hours, Koji Pro’s DS2 is at 10 o’clock (PM), there are 2 hours left." This update suggests that the game is in its final stages of production.

Following the events of the first game, Death Stranding 2 promises to expand on the story and introduce new characters that have already piqued the interest of fans.
