When Square Enix unveiled the monster-collecting RPG *Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince* on the Nintendo Switch last year, it quickly won my heart despite some technical hiccups. Its enchanting charm and engaging gameplay loop set it apart from other *Dragon Quest* spinoffs, elevating it to the esteemed ranks of *Dragon Quest Builders 2*. I had anticipated a PC port following the pattern set by *Dragon Quest Treasures*, but the thought of a mobile release seemed far-fetched. However, Square Enix recently announced that *Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince* ($23.99) will be making its way to iOS, Android, and Steam on September 11th, complete with all previously released DLC, including the content from the *Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince* Digital Deluxe Edition. However, it's worth noting that the online battle feature available in the Switch version, where players could engage in real-time battles, will not be included in the Steam and mobile versions, as confirmed by the respective store pages.
