Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

Henry must choose between siding with Prochek or Olbram, though there's a method to end the feud altogether. To side with Prochek, talk to him in Tachov and choose the dialogue option, "Let’s get those Zhelejovites!" To side with Olbram, speak to him in Zhelejov and say, "Let’s go and see those Tachovites!"

During the negotiations at the pasture, avoid trying to reconcile them directly, as this will only trigger an early fight. Successfully passing a dialogue check during these negotiations can cause one enemy to flee, simplifying the ensuing battle. Winning the fight for either side grants you groschen.

How to Stop the Feud

For a more peaceful resolution, before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram if they want to end the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz to speak with Baliff Thrush, selecting the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace." You'll need to pass a dialogue check here; if successful, you can proceed to the scribe’s room to read the Troskowitz Chronicle. If persuasion fails, you can sneak in to read it, but save your game first.

Once in the scribe’s room, choose the dialogue option, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."

Next, at the pasture, locate three oak trees lined up. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. You have three options with the nail:

Leaving it in the middle tree splits the pasture equally between Tachov and Zhelejov.
Placing it in the west tree gives more land to Tachov.
Placing it in the east tree favors Zhelejov with more land.

Your choice here is relatively inconsequential, so you can opt for neutrality or favor one side. After deciding, speak with Baliff Thrush again to finalize the feud's end. Then, bring Prochek or Olbram to the pasture to conclude the quest successfully.

Finally, speak with Baliff Thrush to receive the "Master Studies I" book.
