Attention all completionists and trophy hunters! *Monster Hunter Wilds* offers a range of challenging hidden achievements, and we're here to guide you through unlocking every single one of them. Whether you're a seasoned hunter or new to the game, these tips will help you conquer those elusive trophies.
All Hidden and Secret Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds
In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, you'll find 12 secret achievements. Seven of these will unlock naturally as you progress through the main storyline. The other five are linked to optional objectives, detailed below:
- I Caught a Shooting Star!: Caught a creature in the desert that shines like a shooting star.
- A Prize Held High: Caught a creature that bears an Ancient Wyvern Coin.
- A Legacy Restored: Obtained an Artian Weapon of Rarity 8.
- Seasoned Hunter: Hunted 50 Tempered monsters.
- Top of the Food Chain: Hunted 50 Apex Predators.
While some of these achievements are straightforward, others require a bit more effort. Let's dive into how to unlock each one:
I Caught a Shooting Star!
To catch this shimmering creature, head to Zone 11 of the Windward Plains at night. Equip yourself with screamer pods and keep an eye out for a Baunos flying near the gathering spots. When you spot it, shoot the screamer pods at the Baunos, then quickly use your Capture Net to catch it.
A Prize Held High
You can achieve this in any map by seeking out tight corners and dead ends. Specifically, go to Zone 6 of the Scarlet Forest and find the small puddle of water. Use your Capture Net to catch the small golden crab that appears there. Alma will often comment when you're near a creature carrying an Ancient Wyvern Coin, so keep an ear out for her remarks.
A Legacy Restored
Once you reach High Rank missions, you can start crafting Artian gear. To obtain Rarity 8 weapons and materials, you'll need to hunt Tempered monsters while equipped with Rarity 7 gear. Keep pushing through the ranks to unlock this achievement.
Seasoned Hunter
Don't mix up Tempered monsters with Frenzied ones; the former are outlined in purple on the minimap, while the latter are in red. Start encountering Tempered monsters from Chapter 4 onwards in High Rank content. Slaying or capturing them will count towards your goal of hunting 50 Tempered monsters.
Top of the Food Chain
This achievement is straightforward but requires you to hunt 50 Apex Predators. The monsters that count towards this achievement are Rey, Dau, Uth, Duna, Nu, Udra, and Jin Dahaad. Focus on these specific creatures to reach the top of the food chain.
