Krafton's eagerly awaited life simulator, inZOI, has been postponed to March 28, 2025, to ensure a robust foundation for the game. Dive into the details from the game's director's official statement on Discord.
inZOI Release Date Moved to March 28, 2025
inZOI’s Delay Due to Positive Player Feedback
Fans of Krafton’s hyper-realistic life simulator, inZOI, will need to wait a bit longer for its arrival. Originally slated for an early access release by the end of this year, the game's launch has now been rescheduled for March 28, 2025. Director Hyungjin "Kjun" Kim made the announcement on the game’s Discord server, emphasizing that this additional time will enhance the game's quality and player experience.
Kjun drew an analogy between the extended development and raising a child, stating, "Among primates, raising a human child to adulthood takes the longest." He used this metaphor to illustrate the meticulous process of nurturing inZOI until it's ready for its audience. The decision to delay was influenced by positive feedback from character creator demos and playtests, which underscored the team's responsibility to deliver a comprehensive experience.
"After reviewing your feedback from inZOI… we have decided to release inZOI in Early Access on March 28, 2025," Kjun explained. "We apologize for the delay, but this reflects our commitment to ensuring inZOI has the best possible start."

Although delays in the gaming world can be disappointing, Krafton is steadfast in its dedication to crafting a game that meets the high expectations set by its enthusiastic community. This is particularly significant given that inZOI's character studio achieved a peak of 18,657 concurrent players within just under a week before its removal from Steam on August 25, 2024.
First introduced in Korea in 2023, inZOI is seen by fans as a formidable contender to The Sims, aiming to revolutionize the life-simulation genre with its extensive customization options and realistic graphics. The decision to delay until March 2025 underscores Krafton's commitment to avoiding the pitfalls of releasing an unfinished product, especially after the cancellation of Life By You earlier this year. This move positions inZOI to compete directly with Paralives, another life simulator set to launch in 2025.
For inZOI enthusiasts, the wait until next March will test their patience, but Krafton assures that the end result will be a game worthy of countless hours of engagement "for years to come." Whether you're navigating a Zoi's professional challenges or enjoying virtual karaoke with friends, inZOI is poised to carve out its own niche within the life simulation genre.
