Myst-Inspired Cosmic Horror Puzzle 'My Father Lied' Arrives on Android

In today's saturated gaming market, finding a truly unique title is a challenge. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its captivating narrative. This mystery/Lovecraftian puzzle adventure boasts a compelling story that sets it apart from the crowd.

My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is fascinating. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, wasn't initially aiming for a career in game development. In 2020, he was a writer and filmmaker. A collaborative game project with a college friend fell through, but the core story remained. Alameen, driven by his vision, independently mastered 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, ultimately bringing his concept to fruition. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.

Unraveling the Mystery

The game plunges players into a mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths, brimming with secrets, puzzles, and surprises. Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, proves far from straightforward.

My Father Lied masterfully blends ancient Mesopotamian lore with modern storytelling. The gameplay features simple point-and-click mechanics, avoiding complex controls, and showcases beautiful 2D visuals and immersive 360-degree images.

Android Release Date

My Father Lied launches on PC on May 30th, 2025. Android and iOS versions are slated for release in Q3 2025. For more information, visit the official Kickstarter or Steam pages.
