Sony Returns to Tokyo Games Show in 2024 After 2019 Absence

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is set to make a grand return to the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2024, marking their first appearance in the main exhibition area since 2019. This significant comeback is generating excitement among gamers and industry insiders alike. The official TGS website has confirmed Sony's participation among the 731 exhibitors, which will occupy 3190 booths spread across Halls 1 to 8 at the Makuhari Messe from September 26th to September 29th. While Sony was present at TGS 2023, their participation was limited to the Demo Play area, showcasing indie game releases. This year, they will join major publishers like Capcom and Konami in the heart of the event.

Although details about what Sony will exhibit are still under wraps, it's worth noting that they conducted a State of Play presentation in May, announcing several game releases for 2024. Many of these titles are expected to be available by the time TGS rolls around. However, according to Sony's latest financial report, there are no plans for new major releases from existing franchises before April 2025. This leaves fans curious about what surprises Sony might have in store for the show.
