OVpay is the new standard for checking in and out on public transport. This companion app gives you a clear summary of every trip. Create expense reports in seconds. Want to check your current check-in status in real time? Just open the app. Forgot to tap in or out? Correct it directly in the app. Want to easily spot your added travel pass? Personalize it with your own color and label. No more searching—everything is right where you need it. We’re constantly improving the app with new helpful features. Have a suggestion or spot something we can do better? Use the feedback button inside the app.

Have you ever traveled using your debit card, credit card, or mobile device on public transport? Then this app is for you! Here’s what you can do:

• See whether you’re checked in or out during your trip.

• Forgot to check in or out? Easily fix it in the app.

• Review your travel history and expenses—up to 18 months back.

• Generate an expense claim and receive a PDF by email.

• Make your added pass easy to identify by customizing its color and text.

How to get started:

• First, take a trip by train, bus, tram, or metro.

• Choose your preferred check-in method: debit card, credit card, or mobile.

• Traveled on public transport in the Netherlands? Perfect. Download the app.

• To access all app features, you’ll need an account. Don’t worry—we’ll guide you step by step.

• Once your account is set up and your first trip is recorded, your new check-in method will be added. Now you can use all the app’s functions.

• Enjoy your travels!

What is OVpay?

OVpay is a joint initiative by all Dutch transport providers: Arriva, Connexxion, EBS, GVB, HTM, Keolis, NS, Qbuzz, RET, and Transdev, together with Translink. It also operates in partnership with Dutch banks.

This app is part of OVpay. Alongside your OV-chipkaart, you can now also check in and out with your debit card, credit card, or mobile phone.
