How to Level Up Sinners in Limbus Company

In Limbus Company, the level of your Sinners significantly impacts their combat effectiveness. Much like other RPGs, progressing through the game and tackling challenging content requires diligent leveling of your team. Even the most powerful Sinner Identities won't stand a chance against formidable foes if they're underleveled. For newcomers to the game, here's a concise guide on how to efficiently gain XP for your characters.

With upcoming games like Ananta and Neverness To Everness on the horizon, there's a growing desire for a stylish anime game that isn't reliant on gacha mechanics. While HoYoVerse games satisfy my gacha cravings, I'm eager for a high-quality, triple-A experience akin to these games but free from RNG-based monetization.

Combat and Grinding --------------------

For new players, the primary method of earning XP is through combat. Every Sinner on your team will gain XP upon successfully completing a combat encounter, regardless of their participation. However, those who actively fight earn more XP than those who sit on the sidelines. Despite this, the process can be slow, especially as battles become more challenging, necessitating more efficient leveling methods.

Upon reaching the midpoint of Canto 2, you'll unlock the Luxcavation mode. This feature allows you to challenge specific enemies, offering a decent source of XP and, more importantly, consumable items crucial for leveling up.

Using Consumable Items

For those who prefer not to grind manually to max out their Sinners' Identities, using Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets is an excellent alternative. These consumable items are designed specifically for leveling up characters and come in various rarities.

Identity Training Tickets

Identity Training Tickets provide a flat amount of XP to an Identity, serving as level-up materials akin to those in other gacha games like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact. They significantly reduce the XP grind, although a substantial number of these tickets is required to fully level a character. They are available in four tiers, each offering increasing amounts of XP:

  • Identity Training Ticket I: 50 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket II: 200 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket III: 1000 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket IV: 3000 Identity XP

You can acquire these tickets primarily by farming the EXP Luxcavation stages. They are also available through the free and paid Limbus Passes and periodic attendance check events.

Level Boost Tickets

Level Boost Tickets are highly valuable as they instantly elevate your Sinners' Identities to a specific level, bypassing the need for XP. Due to their effectiveness, these tickets are much rarer and cannot be farmed. They are mostly obtained via the Limbus Pass and occasionally during attendance check events. Different Level Boost Tickets will raise your characters to the following levels:

  • Level Boost Ticket I: Level 10
  • Level Boost Ticket II: Level 20
  • Level Boost Ticket III: Level 30
  • Level Boost Ticket IV: Level 40

Currently, Identities can reach a maximum level of 50. To level up multiple characters efficiently, it's wise to balance the use of Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets.

To use these consumables, navigate to the Sinners menu and long-press the portrait of the character you wish to level up.
