Sensor fusion

This app visualizes your device's 3D orientation as an interactive 3D compass.

It showcases the capabilities of various sensors and sensor fusion techniques. Data from the gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass is combined in multiple ways, resulting in a dynamic 3D compass that rotates as you move your device.

A key innovation in this app is the fusion of virtual sensors: "Improved Orientation Sensor 1" and "Improved Orientation Sensor 2." These fuse the Android Rotation Vector with the virtual Gyroscope sensor to deliver pose estimation with exceptional stability and precision.

For comparison, the following sensors are also available:

- Improved Orientation Sensor 1 (Fusion of Android Rotation Vector and Calibrated Gyroscope - slightly less stable but more accurate)

- Improved Orientation Sensor 2 (Fusion of Android Rotation Vector and Calibrated Gyroscope - more stable but slightly less accurate)

- Android Rotation Vector (Kalman filter fusion of Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Compass)

- Calibrated Gyroscope (Individual Kalman filter result fusing Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Compass)

- Gravity + Compass

- Accelerometer + Compass

- Deprecated Android Orientation Sensor (Complementary filter fusion of Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Compass)
